This Monday I went to El Potro Mexican Bar and Grill located on 61 Union Square, Somerville, MA 📍 this spot serves up traditional Mexican🇲🇽 style dishes and delicious margaritas🍹

For starters we had their nachos de queso🧀 and tamales. The nachos were perfectly (I mean it perfectly and individually!) topped with cheese. The tamales were stuffed with shredded pork 🐷and came with a side of spicy house red sauce and cotija cheese. Their house made guac and salsa were also a great addition before the entrees.

For entrees we had the carne asada, falutas de pollo, quesadilla, and enchiladas trio! All dishes had great portions and were all fully enjoyed. Our personal favorites were the carne asada which had grilled steak, refried beans, and flour tortillas🌮 As well as the enchiladas trio which had one chicken mole, one cheese suiza and one shredded beef🥩 verde. This dish is a great choice if you can’t decide which enchilada you want.

For desserts we had fried ice cream 🍨and flan🍮 These satisfied all our sweet taste 😋buds after a very cheese filled evening.
