I went to Joes Waterfront located on 100 Atlantic Ave in Boston, MA. This relaxed bar and seafood spot offers delicious food with a great view of Boston🌊
For drinks🍹 we got the original back bay sangria, the cilantro margarita, the aperol spritz and the espresso martini. Our personal favorites out of the cocktails were the sangria and the espresso martini🍸 All were fantastic and paired well with the meal.
The first plate we tried was their New England clam chowder. This arrived in a bread bowl-which who doesn’t love a good bread bowl? The clam chowder🍲 was cooked perfectly and had bacon🥓, onion and potato🥔 A truly classic Bostonian dish and would 100% order this again 9/10.
For a salad 🥗we got the sesame-seared ahi tuna🐟 This had cabbage, arugula, avocado, seaweed salad, cucumbers, sesame vinaigrette, and a little spice from the sriracha aioli. This wasn’t our favorite dish (perhaps too much going on the plate here) of the night but was definitely a very refreshing dish 6/10.
Now for the entrees (which were all star dishes in our eyes) we got the the cure burger. This burger 🍔was an easy 10/10. It had onion jam, an over easy egg🍳, bacon🥓 and cheddar. Everything you want in a burger 10/10 (also lowkey the fries🍟 on these entrees were cooked perfectly 9/10).
We also got the maine lobster 🦞roll which had a ton of lobster covered in lemon-chive mayo, and a glossy buttery brioche bun. This was delicious and I’m not even a big lobster girl (yes you can revoke my new england/boston living status) but this deserves a 9/10.
Finally, for entrees we got the shrimp🦐 scampi and linguine pasta🍝 The best part about this dish was the giant pieces of shrimp and the sun dried tomato. We loved how everything worked well together in this dish. Between the burger, lobster roll and shrimp everything was super filling!
For dessert we got the seven-layer chocolate cake🍰, the butterscotch bread pudding and the skillet chocolate chip cookie🍪
The seven layer chocolate cake looked like it came straight from a scene in Matilda. A very chocolatey cake that was basically a brownie ! If you are a chocolate fiend this dessert is for you 9/10.
The butterscotch bread pudding was our personal favorite it paired well with the brown sugar sauce and caramel from the ice cream 🍦 10/10.
Last but not least, the skillet chocolate chip cookie 🍪was simply divine and even had candied pecans paired with it on top 9/10. You simply can’t go wrong with any of the desserts.
I say this spot did not disappoint in the slightest. Very delicious and will be back again!
