Millburn Café – Skowhegan, ME 📍147 Madison Ave, Skowhegan, ME
Just opened this summer, Millburn Café is already making waves in Skowhegan with its bold, fresh takes on salads and sandwiches. Tucked inside a charming historic home, this cozy spot offers a modern lunch experience with a hometown feel.
We started with the Apple Walnut Salad, which came packed with crisp greens, apple slices, shredded carrots, red onion, feta, and candied walnuts. Every bite was balanced and bright—classic flavors done right.
Next up, the Hot Ham Sandwich delivered serious heat and flavor. Ham and bacon were layered with smoked gouda, pickled jalapeños, and drizzled with hot honey. It was messy, melty, and utterly satisfying—bring napkins and your appetite.
The Chopped Italian Grinder—Maine’s answer to an Italian sub—featured ham, Genoa salami, pepperoni, tomato, greens, provolone, and onion. It was overflowing with freshness and almost leaned salad more than sandwich, but still a flavorful and hearty pick.
Food: 8/10 Ambiance: 8/10 (remodeled charm) Affordability: 7/10 (great portions for the price)
A welcome addition to Skowhegan’s food scene—worth the stop whether you’re craving a crisp salad or a sandwich with a kick.
