I went to Southern Kin located at 500 Assembly Row, in Somerville, MA 📍this spot offers a selection of classic Southern dishes and great choices of cocktails, bourbons and whiskeys.
For drinks 🍹we had one of the signature bourbons on the menu as well as the Sippin’Pretty cocktail. The Sippin’Pretty contained Rose🌹Tequila, St. Germain, Lemon🍋, Strawberry, Raspberries🍇 and splash of Cava. The Sippin’Pretty was very sweet but good!
For appetizers we had the grilled cornbread and biscuits. The cornbread was housemade and served with honey butter and jam. The biscuits were served with sausage gravy and eggs🥚
For entrees we had their hot honey chicken 🐔sliders and Bayou tacos🌮 The tacos contained confit alligator, avocado puree, corn and napa cabbage.
For desserts we had their Key lime and chocolate peanut butter pies🥧both delicious and will satisfy your sweet tooth!
My personal favorites were the cornbread and the biscuits! If you are feeling adventurous I would go ahead and try the bayou tacos with alligator (tastes like chicken!).
