I went to Tequila’s Mexican Cantina 🇲🇽 located on 979 Main St, Wakefield, MA 📍this family-owned restaurant offers authentic Mexican food and a great variety of drink options.

You can’t go wrong with a margarita 🍹 or even a coronarita (if you are into those!) and this spot offers delicious options.

For entrees we had two different enchilada dishes! The Doña Maria Enchiladas which were stuffed with tinga, topped with mole sauce, crema, queso🧀 fresco and escabeche onions🧅 We also had the Poblanas Enchiladas which were stuffed with tinga, topped with creamy poblano salsa, corn🌽, queso fresco, slices of poblano peppers🌶️ & avocado🥑. Finally, the bacon shrimp tacos 🌮 which had melted jack cheese, bacon🥓 shrimp🦐, caramelized onions, pico de gallo, queso fresco & avocado🥑 and chipotle crema.

My personal favorite was the Doña Maria Enchiladas but that is just because I love💕a good mole sauce (my boyfriend has taught me well!)

For dessert🍮we had the churros and the tres leches bread pudding.

The churros were cooked to perfection and came with a nice scoop of vanilla ice cream🍦 The bread pudding was covered in tres leches and also came with a nice scoop of vanilla ice cream.

If you don’t frequent the North shore they also have locations in Chelmsford, Hudson and Groton. Check them out if you are in the mood😋 for some great Mexican food.
