We went to Tonno Wakefield located on 175 North Ave, Wakefield, MA📍 This spot offers a great selection of classic Italian🇮🇹dishes and even a little happy hour from 4-5pm during the week.
For appetizers we had the arancini balls and burrata. The arancini balls are abborio rice balls that are deep fried. A classic italian appetizer! The Burrata is made of mozzarella 🧀 and was my personal favorite-it looked and tasted amazing! So many colors in this dish.
For entrees we had the Tagliatelle Bolognese 🍝 and the Veal Saltimbocca. The house made tagliatelle pasta contained veal, pork, beef, onion, carrot, fennel, and parmesan cheese. The Veal🐄Saltimbocca was my personal favorite and contained toasted potato, broccoli rabe, crispy prosciutto, and a brown butter sage sauce.
For dessert🍨 we had a chocolate cake with strawberry sauce😋
